PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS
I'm the Graphic Design Intern for the Portland Trail Blazers' 2019 - 2020 season. This year, the franchise is celebrating their 50th Anniversary. Highlights include working with a limited-edition brand identity, lending a hand in creating the fan experience for the season and Melo coming to Portland!
During my time with the Blazers, I've worked on an array of projects including environmental design, apparel design, print and layout design, digital content design and illustration. In addition, I've been a part of weekly brainstorming meetings with the creative team and had the unique experience of helping with video direction on Media Day.
Thanks to the welcoming, learning-focused nature of the Blazers organization, my experience there doesn't stop at design. I've shadowed multiple departments including Game Operations and Corporate Communications (hosting our Trail Blazers 1970's Alumni on decade night!) Every experience has helped shape my understanding of what it means to be a professional in the Sports and Entertainment industry.

THE PORTLAND ROASTERS
For my Senior Capstone project I created a brand identity for Portland's future MLB team. The final deliverables included a brand book (print and digital), team merchandise and a one-of-a-kind jersey.

Branding, Apparel Design, Sports Marketing
In the wake of the excitement surrounding the Portland Diamond Project, I created a brand identity, uniforms and merchandise for the potential Portland MLB team. I completed 3 months of research on the history of baseball in Portland prior to creating the brand- this research included a survey, interviews, studying a documentary on the Portland Mavericks baseball team and attending the Jolby and Friends / Portland Gear "Baseball to Portland" event. The research done acted as a guide towards deciding the best possibility identity for the team.
My goal for the team's brand is to accurately represent the voice of Portland- from the people who have lived in Portland for 30+ years to the newly immersed, young sports fans living in the heart of the city.
As a major league team out of portland, the roasters represent a confident and unique identity, commitment to excellence in their craft, energy behind their performance and genuine enjoyment from doing it all together.
Roasters Jersey / Hand cut, hand stitched letters on a Nike "Vapor" Baseball jersey. Canvas Roasters patch sewn on left sleeve.
